Umeå Energi – The municipal energy company in Umeå in the north of Sweden is the majority shareholder in Bioendev and one of the financiers of the Industrial Demonstration Unit (IDU) outside Umeå .
BRUKS – One of the world leading companys in design and manufacture of equipment handling bulk materials. BRUKS are the main contractor for the facility of Bioendev’s Industrial Demonstration Unit in Holmsund outside Umeå.
SCA – The Swedish hygiene and forest industry company SCA is co-financiers to the construction of IDU and supplier of raw materials to the process.
Energimyndigheten – The Swedish Energy Agency has for a long time supported Bioendev’s torrefaction technology and is now a major investor in the construction of IDU.
Swerea MEFOS in Luleå leads a EU-financed project with several partners, of which Bioendev is one of them, from the northern regions of Sweden. The main purpose is to explore if biomass can replace fossil carbon in metal production
